QA1 Motorsports’s new bleed adjustable piston rods debuted at the 2017 PRI show. The kits include everything for converting a non-adjustable shock to a rebound bleed adjustable, compression bleed adjustable, or simultaneous compression and rebound adjustable shock.
QA1 refined the design of their old bleed adjustable piston rod. Now on the rod and bearing mount, there is a clicker wheel that allows for up to 32 clicks of adjustment for rebound or compression. The patent-pending needle design gives a real linear bleed adjustment effect, with each click equaling about 1,000 bleeds. This gives you the ability to fine-tune your shock’s bleed and car’s handling a little bit more.
On the other end of the piston is a bolt design rather than the usual QA1 shock design. This provides more room for the adjustment mechanism. The bleed needle screws into the seat. The gun-drilled piston rod is hollow inside, and the pushrod is zinc-plated steel instead of aluminum.
