For select Subaru WRX STI models, AEM’s new Performance Cold Air Intake System increases both horsepower and torque by replacing the factory air filter and air-intake housing. Air enters an oversized AEM Dryflow oil-free, synthetic washable air filter, located in the original air filter box space and protected by a heat shield. The Dryflow air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before needing to be cleaned. The heat shield reduces intake air temperature and helps increase horsepower. Mandrel-bent aluminum intake tubing is finished with a durable, textured red powder-coating. The system was created to accommodate the factory emissions control devices in your WRX STI, including the mass airflow sensor. The whole system is easy to install with common tools and is backed by AEM’s Limited Lifetime Warranty.
