Watch some of Wilwood Engineering’s front disc brakes be installed on a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The ultimate brake package for unrestricted road-racing competition includes AERO6/QS-ST six-piston, radial-mount calipers and the high-cooling capacity of 14-inch, dynamically mounted GT directional-vane brake rotors. Thermlock caliper pistons resist fade and reduce heat transfer from the caliper body, pads, fluid, and seals. The rotors mount to the hubs with forged-aluminum hats, while radial-mount brackets fix the caliper to the spindle sans modification. Wilwood’s kits additionally include high-temperature, high-friction race-compound brake pads and premium-grade fasteners.
