However, they’re built with a reduced-travel internal piston, giving them superior stiffness, and, thus, more lift than stock lifters. Responsiveness is also increased thanks to the shorter travel. Hustler lifters fit 1987-1998 GM small block engines and are legal for race applications requiring sealed blocks.
