Dirt Late Model racer Devin Moran sits in the top 11 of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and also competes in World of Outlaws and other circuits. He also just announced his switch to Bilstein AS2-R shocks.
“I’m thrilled to be heading into the heart of the season on Bilstein AS2-R shocks,” said Moran, nicknamed Mailman. “The performance and versatility of the AS2-R Series can’t be matched, and being able to tune specifically for each track will give us an edge as we race for a championship. We are grateful for the phenomenal tech support and service we’ve received from Bilstein, they are a great to work with and a valued partner.”
Having competed since 2009, Moran is the son of one of the most successful Dirt Late Model racers of all time, hall-of-famer Donnie Moran. Donnie was also a Bilstein driver in the late-1990s.
Bilstein AS2-R Series shock absorbers are designed for motorsports applications and provide premium performance through superior tuning and modular design. The package features an aluminum-bodied remote reservoir with tunable base valve technology and several adjustment options mated to Bilstein’s AS2 Series aluminum modular shock.
The lightweight, threaded-body shock can be used with or without coilover hardware. The AS2-R Series shock absorbers offer racers a versatile damper that maximizes suspension travel and gives an endless range of options for tuning and upgradability.

When August Bilstein laid the foundations for the innovation incubator BILSTEIN in Altenvoerde in Germany’s Westphalia region in 1873, nobody had any idea of the crucial influence the company’s products would one day have on the driving comfort and safety of cars. Now, the name BILSTEIN has for many decades been closely associated with high tech in the field of suspension design, driving comfort and safety. In order to expand this position in the future, BILSTEIN became a division of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in 1988, and a wholly-owned subsidiary in 2005.
