New VDO LED Tachometer

Continental introduces its VDO Xtreme LED Tachometer for the street-rod and hot-rod performance enthusiasts. This new, easily programmable tachometer offers an extended RPM range of 0–12,000, allows the user to select up to four separate shift points, and features two backlight color options—red and white along with either a white or black dial face. Continental is the manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and replacement parts for the custom truck and car enthusiast market.

The VDO Xtreme tachometer is capable of functioning with 2- to 10-cylinder applications and multiple ignition coils. This makes it an ideal solution for a wide range of engine configurations. The VDO Xtreme features an advanced shift light, which is switchable between a shift light and pulsing of backlight to indicate a specified shift point. The tachometer offers a 90 and 360 memory recall in order to replay the tachometer’s operation. The replay speed is offered in “real-time” speed and slow motion (1/4 speed).

The VDO Xtreme is the ideal instrument for performance enthusiasts who like to take their hot rods and muscle cars to the drag strip and record/analyze data at a basic level. It offers easy application for muscle cars, street rods, hot rods, and custom trucks, and can be used in almost any application where a recall and shift light is necessary, such as a 1/4-mile drag strip.
