Nissan has released the production Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign and is taking orders for the ultra-exclusive 50-vehicle limited run.
Nissan collaborated with Turin, Italy-based Italdesign to create the Nissan GT-R50 in commemoration of the 50th anniversaries of the GT-R in 2019 and Italdesign in 2018. Here’s a look at the prototype from June of 2018:

The Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign is based on the latest GT-R Nismo, reinterpreted with a European-style sensibility combining Japanese performance and Italian craftsmanship. While Italdesign developed, engineered and constructed the car in Turin, Italy, the distinctive, exterior and interior designs originated from Nissan’s design centers in London and San Diego.
In this next video, head of Nissan’s Global Design Alfonso Albaisa, Italdesign CEO Jörg Astalosch, and Nissan Design Europe Vice President Mamoru Aoki describe the collaboration:

The production GT-R50 delivers a claimed 575 lbs.-ft. of torque and 710 horsepower from its twin-turbo 3.8-liter V6 engine (that’s 110 hp over the standard Nismo).
It has a continuously adjustable damping Bilstein system, upgraded Brembo brakes, reinforced six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, beefier differentials, and stronger driveshafts necessary to cope with the extra power.
The GT-R50 prototype has made appearances at Goodwood, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion in the U.S. and Nissan Crossing in Tokyo’s Ginza district. It is now on display at the Nissan Gallery in Yokohama.
