Vortech has launched its V-3 Heritage Supercharger series that brings back the nostalgic gear-noise that made its superchargers famous in the 1990s.

Vortech’s iconic V-1 supercharger helped put Vortech at the forefront of the high-performance aftermarket supercharging systems for the Mustang market in the early 1990s. Vortech later quieted down its gear-drive systems and created the V-2 transmission with helical cut gears and revised designs. Now, the new V-3 Heritage series brings back that nostalgic sound of the first gear-driven centrifugal supercharger, in a self-lubricated compressor package.

The V-3 Heritage Series Superchargers use the original Vortech straight-cut gearset from 1990 and has a 3.45:1 step-up ratio. The self-lubricating oiling system features a new oil slinger.

The V-3 Heritage Superchargers are available in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise rotation for use in rear- or forward-facing inlet setups found on the Fox-body, 4.6/5.4 Modular, and Coyote 5.0 kits. Trim options include the popular Si, Ti, and JT models, in a choice of Satin, Black or Polished.
